As the main material of the heat shield, the wide-format pure molybdenum plate can reduce the willow welding point, improve the productivity and material utilization rate, reduce the cost of energy, and further increase the market share. Therefore, it is very important to study the preparation technology of high quality wide pure molybdenum plate.

In the development and production of wide-width pure molybdenum plates, through technology accumulation and scientific research and public relations, large-scale tungsten-molybdenum rolling mills with independent intellectual property rights have been designed and manufactured.
In the rolling process of pure molybdenum plate, the different rolling speed means the different deformation rate, the deformation resistance increases with the increase of the deformation rate, there is a critical deformation rate, the deformation resistance increases with the increase of the deformation rate below the critical deformation rate, and the deformation resistance decreases with the increase of the deformation rate above the critical deformation rate. In order to improve the rolling productivity of pure molybdenum plate and ensure the required final rolling temperature, high-speed rolling is generally adopted, and the rolling speed should be controlled at 50-55 m/min.
